Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/28/2020
Receipts: 1,200 Last Week: 3,100 Year Ago: 1,700
Compared to last week: Not enough comparable sales of Current FOB steers
or heifers for a market trend. Trade activity was light to moderate on
moderate demand. Feedyards reporting that they are at full capacity,
causing markets to decline this week. Supply consisted of 62 percent steers
and 38 percent heifers. 100 percent of the offerings weighed over 600 lbs.
Note: Feeder cattle prices based on net weights FOB after a 3 percent
pencil shrink or equivalent. Current sales are up to 14 days delivery.
