Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and Western U.S.

     Report 32 - Released on August 06, 2020

Whey protein concentrate 34% prices eased back at the top of the price range and both ends
of the mostly price series. The abundance of inexpensive dairy proteins is putting a lot of
pressure on WPC 34% prices. Some manufacturers say weakness in WPC 80% and WPI markets is
prompting them to make more WPC 34% than the higher whey protein concentrations. Without
improvements in those higher whey protein concentration markets, the pressures faced by WPC
34% will likely remain in place. Inventories and production are generally steady to higher,
however highly sought out brands of WPC 34% are in shorter supply. Aside from WPC 34% that
meets specific end user requirements and has consistently strong demand, buyer interest is
     lackadaisical.
